| Job Description | Sights Specialists is a new ophthalmology practice opening on the Gold Coast in January 2021. We are looking for experienced ophthalmic technicians and orthoptists to support patient care. SCOPE OF WORK: Operating diagnostic equipment (training provided), including visual field testing, OCT scanning, and corneal imaging. Taking a medical history from patients Setting up for minor medical procedures Patient liaison (helping patients to feel welcome and comfortable, answering questions) Additional skills that are desirable but not essential: subjective refraction, Goldmann applanation tonometry, experience in dry eye care, experience in strabismus. ESSENTIAL PERSONAL SKILLS: Reliable and efficient Values feedback; a desire to learn and improve The ability to use initiative and trouble-shoot Good touch typing skills Renumeration is negotiable depending upon level of experience. |
