We have two exciting opportunities available for qualified Orthoptists and new graduates to join our Eye Clinic team based in the Northern Beaches and Darlinghurst. We have a full time position and a casual role available. The successful candidates will work in close collaboration with a team of 5 ophthalmologists in order to provide high level patient care and satisfaction. Our ophthalmologists specialise in a wide variety of ophthalmic areas such as Refractive (Advanced Surface Laser and lensectomy), cateract, Retinal/Vitreo-retinal, glaucoma, macula and general. The successful candidates will join us in striving to expand our clinics and be wholeheartedly interested in patient care and satisfaction whilst also assisting this company with its goal of providing Accessible and Affordable Health Care to the people of Australia.
*Orthoptic work-ups/ VA
*Refractions (automated phoropter & digital charts)
*IOP checks (Goldmann and iCare tonometer)
* OCT / OCT fluorescein angiography / fundus camera
*Visual assessment and clinical history
*Topography (orbscan pentacam
* Ultrasound (A-Scan and immersion)
* Humphrey Visual Fields
* Wavefront aberrometry (schwind)
* Specular microscopy
* Laser suitability screening
* Assistance in procedures: intravitreal injections, chalazion removal, fluorescein angiography
In order to be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Health Science or relevant Orthoptics qualifications. You will be a professional and enthusiastic individual with time management, organizational and problem-solving skills. You will have the ability to work independently as well as working as an essential member of a cohesive team. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
