|Job Description||The successful candidate will work within a team and have demonstrated high level knowledge, skills and experience in clinical service provision as an Orthoptist, as well as working closely within the multi professional Ophthalmology service.

About the Role
•Provide high level of knowledge and clinical skills in the role of an Orthoptist and providing a range of ophthalmic diagnostic testing as recognised by clinical experience, professional development activities, post graduate education or formal qualifications.
•Utilise high levels of knowledge and clinical skills in exercising independent professional judgement in problem solving and clinical management, managing a complex caseload relevant to orthoptic professional practice and with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision
•Help to provide education and training for junior staff and multi professional colleagues to ensure that relevant processes and diagnostic testing for Departmental patients is accurate, safe and efficient.
•Monitor and report clinical work practices and outcomes within clinical service area.
•Provide support to head of allied health/chief Orthoptist (Ophthalmology) and relevant service managers regarding service delivery, equipment, technology, IT systems within the department and the prioritisation and development of ophthalmic clinical services and efficient patient flow.
