|Job Title||Optometrist with an interest in a subspecialty|
About the business
OCULA is an independent practice with three locations in New Zealand. We are dedicated to the highest level of clinical care and inspirational eyewear.
About the role
We are on the hunt for an optometrist who either already has a subspecialty interest, or someone who is keen to learn the ropes from our senior optometrists. Our subspecialty areas are contact lenses (orthoK, hard contact lens fitting, myopia control, keratoconus management) and paediatrics (binocular vision, myopia control, behavioural optometry, vision therapy).
Benefits and perks
OCULA is dedicated first and foremost to its people and their growth, development and life satisfaction. OCULA is an award-winning business, not just for professional services, but also prides itself on being nominated for Employer of the Year at the local Chamber of Commerce Awards.
This role will provide the opportunity to work in one of New Zealand’s top clinical practices, giving a number of opportunities to grow and develop your skills and expertise.
The role will require you to be therapeutically-qualified. The role would also require you to either be confident in, or prepared to learn a subspecialty interest.
OCULA offers a full-scope of services which include paediatric, neurological and binocular vision, dry eye (including IPL), vision therapy and orthoptic services as well as general optometry.
You will join our clinical team and work alongside paediatric optometrists, a vision therapist and an orthoptist, in a fully-equipped clinic with all the equipment, tools, support and training you will need to excel.
Skills and experience
This role would best suit an optometrist with at least three years of general optometry experience, however, new graduates are welcome to apply also.
