Clinical Orthoptist

This is a great opportunity to focus on your diagnosis and management skills of a range of ocular conditions.

Applicants will work alongside other clinical staff, as well as a number of administrative staff, so there is plenty of support.

Those with a keen interest in a variety of conditions and areas within ophthalmology will suit the role on offer perfectly.

Clinical duties include, but are not limited to:

* Initial and follow up assessment of general ophthalmic conditions (eg cataract, glaucoma, diabetes)
requiring visual acuity, applanation tonometry, fundus examination and other testing as indicated
* Orthoptic assessment of strabismus patients
* Monitoring treatment of amblyopic patients
* Fundus fluorescein angiography
* Disc photography and anterior segment photography
* OCT, Pentacam, Keratograph and IOL Master
* Assisting in minor procedures
Please note: Visual Field testing IS NOT a required task
