ORTHOPTIST

We are an established optometry practice in Sutherland seeking a vibrant individual experienced in optics to assist our Optometrist. Full time position, ideal for new graduate Orthoptist.

The successful person will have the following skills and attributes:

* Be willing and available to greet patients and visitors in a bright, friendly manner and promptly attend to their needs and booking appointments
* Be willing to participate in pre-testing our patients performing tests such as Visual Fields, OCT, Retinal Photography, Tonometry
* Be dynamic and enjoy delivering exceptional patient service over the phone and face-to-face that will delight our patients
* Be willing to fit and deliver completed spectacles, assist patients with lens selection, quality control and verification of lenses
* Be willing to provide tuition in contact lenses insertion, removal and maintenance.
* Have the ability to maintain healthcare records, tidy practice environment and assist with enhancing the overall patient experience
* Be willing to attend training courses when required

The successful applicant must be a fast learner, detail oriented, customer service-oriented, well presented, and have excellent communication skills.

Experience with Sunix or Optomate Practice Management software and Medicare items would be beneficial.

Ideally you will have worked in a similar role, but training can be provided so you can directly assist patients in the provision of quality healthcare as well as providing optical expertise.
