Ophthalmic Supervisor/ Orthoptist

The Terrace Eye Centre is a well-established specialist ophthalmology practice with 12 doctors offering complimentary specialties and we are seeking a Supervisor for our nursing team of ophthalmic assistants.The role requires you to work closely with our doctors in providing ophthalmic assistance and supporting the ophthalmic team. You must have clinical ophthalmic experience to be considered for this role and ideally supervisory experience.

Your key duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited too)
• Orientating, developing and directing the team
• Implementing ophthalmic procedures and guidelines
• Coordinator with excellent problem solving skills
• Manage stock and supplies
• Maintenance servicing
• Ensures safe practice and compliance
• Taking patient history, vision testing and insertion of eye drops
• Performing clinical testing on patients including the use of OCT, Ascan, Bscan and Visual Fields
• Educating patients on various procedures and treatments
