The Product Specialist-Ophthalmic Diagnostics role works closely with our Ophthalmic Surgical Team, in selling world class Ophthalmic Diagnostic equipment into Ophthalmology Clinics, Optometry Practices, Hospitals and Day Surgeries. Included in the product portfolio are brands such as Haag Streit, Topcon, Heine, all well known and sought-after brands and technology in the Ophthalmic health sector. You will be integral to the development of this portfolio and exploring new markets and opportunities in your territory. Working alongside the National OPD Team from time to time you will be required to travel and support trials in hospitals and clinics in your region, and state and national conferences and ophthalmic events. Working closely with the National Sales Manager, you will develop and initiate marketing initiatives and activities to build a pipeline of business opportunities that will sustain long term sales growth in your region.

Experience required: · Minimum 2 years’ experience selling Capital Equipment, ideally Ophthalmic or similar highly technical diagnostic equipment in a medical or hospital environment OR · Has equivalent ophthalmic industry experience in an Ophthalmology Clinic or Optometry Practice · Current valid driver’s license · Relevant tertiary qualifications in the sciences – degree or similar. · Strong written and verbal skills · Ability to work collaboratively with others and autonomously as required · Competency in using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint · Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends
