| Job Description | About the Company In One Healthcare is an Allied Health provider based in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne that provide Allied Health Services to the general public in all suburbs of Melbourne. Due to our exponential growth we are seeking an experienced Optometrist to join our organisation on a permanent full-time basis. We have the latest OCT, auto refractor and Visual Field to manage our patients. About the position As an Optometrist your responsibilities will involve: - Perform thorough routine eye inspections
- Development of individual, evidence-based treatment plans and goals to address any issues identified to provide best practice care for consumers.
- Identify patient’s visual alertness, field of vision and hand-eye coordination
- Diagnose sight problems and provide correct lenses and medications
- Maintain accurate medical files for all patients
- Providing independent professional services based on the clinical reasoning
- Promote eye health by teaching patients about proper eye care techniques
- Identify and assess eye defects and diseases
- Record all diagnosis and treatment plans including transfers and therapeutic prescriptions
- Working in a multidisciplinary team
Respecting consumer privacy, rights, cultural beliefs and confidentiality - Communicate assessed needs clearly and precisely to the consumers and organisation within appropriate time frames.
- Liaise with families and case managers as appropriate.
- Regularly review client treatment plans and goals.
Requirements In order to establish your career for this position, you will require the following attributes and attitude: - Doctor of Optometry (O.D) Degree or Bachelor
- Full APHRA registration
- At least 2 years experience as an Optometrist
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent computer and interpersonal skills
- Thrive under a fast pace environment
- Must have a Drivers license and own vehicle
