Orthoptist

Vision Eye Institute Box Hill is a dynamic ophthalmology practice specialising in retinal conditions. We are dedicated to providing excellent patient care and education in ophthalmology and pride ourselves in the training and investment of staff. We are currently seeking a motivated person who is keen to acquire new specialised skills, or to consolidate upon their existing experience.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake the following duties:
– General history taking and Orthoptic assessment
– OCT and Humphrey Visual Field testing
– Biometry
– Fluorescein and ICG Angiography
-Assisting with intravitreal injections
– Provide primary assessment and triage of referrals through phone, fax and email
– Day to day patient administrative tasks

To meet the fast paced requirements of this position a high level of energy and enthusiasm is essential along with excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills. A Bachelor degree in Orthoptics, along with current registration with the Australian Orthoptic Board is a requirement of the position.
