With 2 Directors that have a wealth of experience in their field of Ophthalmology as well as the clinical trials process, mentoring and development of their staff is a key focus.

A BIT ABOUT THE ROLE…

ZAVe’s Research Orthoptists offer valuable expertise, clinical testing and coordination to our clinical trials and studies. They are a valuable resource in obtaining valid clinical trials data and maintaining appropriate regulatory compliance for our research sites however, they are great at building relationships whilst working with patients, doctors, and ZAVe team members.

KEY TASKS OF THE ROLE…

–       Clinical trials administration

o   Site Selection

o   Start-up of trial

o   Trial Activation

–       Participant Recruitment

–       Trial Operations

o   Collaboration with key stakeholders to manage day-to-day research activities

–       Quality and safety

–       Professional development

–       Teamwork and collaboration

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO APPLY…

– Tertiary qualification in Orthoptics and Optometry
– 1+ years clinical experience
– Experience working collaboratively with Doctors, Clinical staff, etc
– Experience delivering desired outcomes with attention to detail being a priority
– Good computer Literacy i.e. Word, excel, Outlook
– Experience with managing priorities, problem solving and organising one’s own tasks and sometimes the tasks of junior staff members
– Experience working within a team environment that requires autonomy, self-motivation, and flexibility.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience in a similar role
– Experience in ophthalmic clinical trials
– Training in and comprehensive understanding of Good Clinical Practice
