Experienced Orthoptist

We are seeking an experienced Orthoptist or an Orthoptist that has the skill set and confidence to work independently. The role will involve working in Bellfield every Monday, Sunbury every Tuesday and alternating Wednesdays (5 days per fortnight). The position at MCES will involve joining an establish team, working with other Orthoptists. In Sunbury, you will work independently as the only Orthoptist.

Both clinics specialise primarily in Medical Retina, Glaucoma, and Cataracts as well as General ophthalmology.

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience of two or more years within eye health.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour.
• Be willing to travel to two separate locations each week.
• The ability to work efficiently as part of a team or independently and follow direction.
• Experience using high tech diagnostic equipment (E.g. OCT Scan, Visual Field, Ascan)
• Experience or willingness to assist with Lens calculations and organising Theatre lists.
