| Job Description | The role involves working with a team of 6 ophthalmologists with varying subspecialties, our practice manager, other practice orthoptists, and medical receptionists in a dynamic environment. Job Purpose: To ensure that the patients have had the appropriate testing prior to seeing the Ophthalmologist to allow for diagnosis. To ensure the patients of the practice are always treated in a professional manner and receive the highest possible clinical care. Duties: • Ophthalmic review and work ups • Co-ordinating daily clinics • Patient education • Orthoptic screening and work ups • Specialised diagnostic testing- OCT, HVF and A-Scans • Set up and assisting in minor operations and intravitreal injections • Maintain consumable stocks • Maintain emergency trolley • Maintain and manage sample stock • Co-ordinate intravitreal medication with CustomCare Pharmacy Skills/Qualifications: • Bachelor of Applied Science (Orthoptics) or equivalent. • Eligible for the AOB • Working with Children’s Check • First Aid Certificate • Police Check |
