Orthoptist

Chatswood Eye Specialists and Lindfield Eye Care are busy multidisciplinary practices, including Ophthalmologists with subspecialties in glaucoma, medical and surgical retina, and oncology.

We are seeking an Orthoptist to join our friendly team, at both our Chatswood and Lindfield rooms, with the position offering 4 days per week, as well as availability for holiday, maternity and sick leave relief.

The successful applicant should have:
• Tertiary qualifications in Orthoptics
• Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal skills required.
• Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team of Ophthalmologists and Orthoptists, learn quickly and use initiative
• Skills required:
o Patient history
o Refraction
o Tonometry
o IOL Master
o Pentacam
o OCT
o Visual fields
o Minor procedures, including intravitreal injections
o Instrument sterilisation
o Surgical bookings and consents
o Administrative/reception duties

The position is suited to either a new graduate or an experienced Orthoptist, with training or upskilling being provided to the successful applicant.
