About the role:
At NQ Eye Specialists our orthoptist is a highly valued member of our clinical team. Importantly, you will support our ophthalmologists to provide quality healthcare in line with our clinic’s values. This opportunity will utilise your excellent communication skills and commitment to delivering a high standard of care.

You will be offered training and guidance to perform your daily responsibilities, which include, but are not limited to:

  • Accurate and timely work-up of patients
  • Assisting with all stages of theatre preparation
  • Contribute to organisation of, and assist at, outreach clinics
  • Contribute to continued improvement of processes and protocols
  • Assisting with establishment of, and compliance with, auditing requirements of clinical outcomes within NQ Eye Specialists
  • Remain informed of the latest treatment protocols and available services that may improve patient outcomes

About you:

  • Excellent technical ability
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Undertakes accurate and efficient data entry
  • Demonstrated flexibility within the work environment; ability to adapt to changing conditions
  • A Bachelor of Orthoptics/Master of Orthoptics and subsequent registration with AOB
