Vision Eye Institute Hurstville is located in a purpose built facility, specifically designed for ophthalmic consultations, diagnostic testing and outpatient procedures. Our modern, spacious clinic features nine consulting rooms as well as specialist treatment rooms for assessment and minor procedures. The practice is co-located with Forest Road Day Surgery.

We’re looking for an experienced Orthoptist to join our team on a permanent full time basis.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ophthalmic and medical history/Orthoptic assessment
• Clinical assessment and perform investigations such as visual field testing, OCT and angiography
• Biometry and Corneal Topography
• Patient counselling
• Primary assessment and triage of referrals
• Work with up to date technology and instruments
• Ongoing professional development will be provide

About you:

• Excellent clinical skills, interpersonal skills and attention to detail
• Orthoptic/Optical qualification and current Australian Orthoptic Board registration
• Experience in a similar role
• Able to speak Mandarin or Cantonese is desirable
