Orthoptist- 4 Days a Week

We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Orthoptist 4 days a week (Monday – Thursday), with the potential to transition full-time in the future.  The position will involve joining an establish team which currently consists of 3 Orthoptists whom you will work alongside of, along with a close nit team.

Our clinic specialises primarily in medical retina, Glaucoma, and Cataracts as well as general ophthalmology.

The successful candidate will have:

·         More than 6 months of experience within eye health.

·         an Orthoptics Qualifications

·         Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour.

·         Personal presentation of a high level.

·         The ability to work efficiently as part of a team or independently and follow direction.

·         Experience using high tech diagnostic equipment (E.g. OCT Scan, Visual Field, Ascan)

·         Effective time-management, priority management and problem solving skills.

The position is not limited to ophthalmic work, but offered to only those eager to become an all-rounder. Such things include, Orthoptic work, administration work, assisting with in-house procedures, answering incoming calls and some reception tasks. The role offers variety in your work. On the job training will be undertaken to train you to use eye care equipment within our practice.
