Orthoptist/ Ophthalmic Assistant

Eastern Suburbs Retina is a specialist retinal clinic located in the heart of Bondi Junction close to the transportation hub. We are seeking a Full-time Orthoptist/ Ophthalmic Assistant to join our sub-specialty Ophthalmology practice.

Our team includes 9 Ophthalmologists with expertise across Medical Retina, Surgical Retina, Cataract Surgery, Glaucoma and more.

The role includes but is not limited to:
• Patient consultation including; history taking, vision screening, tonometry, refraction, cover testing, colour vision testing etc.
• Performing various diagnostic imaging including; OCT, fundus photography and angiography, biometry, immersion ultrasonography, topography, and Humphrey Visual Fields.
• Assisting doctors with minor procedures and intravitreal injections
• Surgical bookings and surgical list monitoring
• Medical stock management
• Assisting with administrative/reception duties and typing

Experience is not essential and training will be provided to the appropriate candidate. Students and recent graduates welcome to apply.
