Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists for an Ophthalmic Nurse/Technician to join our busy ophthalmology practice located in Norwest.

 

The position is working 4-5 days a week..

 

Our team consists of 14 ophthalmologists, Practice Manager, orthoptists and reception staff and we are seeking an Ophthalmic Nurse/Technician to become a valued and important part of our friendly team for clinical and surgical support within the practice.

 

Your daily tasks will include but are not limited to:

 

Assist with intravitreal injections, minor procedures, fluorescein angiograms and laser procedures.
Sterilisation of equipment.
Paperwork for Medicare approval.
Perform diagnostic testing including A-scans, Visual fields and OCT’s.
Stock control.
Assist with administration duties as required.
Skills/Experience required:

 

Demonstrated knowledge and skills in ophthalmology is highly regarded.
Have a friendly professional manner.
Experience working in a busy clinic environment.
Able to work proactively with all team members.
Have excellent time management, priority management and problem solving skills.
Have the ability to learn quickly and be adaptable.
Excellent listening skills.
Be able to multitask.
