Orthoptist

We are looking for an orthoptist to join our team at Port Macquarie Eye Centre.

Port Macquarie Eye Centre is a modern ophthalmic practice with seven ophthalmologists, orthoptists, ophthalmic nurses and clinical assistants. Our facility covers a variety of sub-specialties (including glaucoma, strabismus and vitreoretinal), as well as all aspects of general ophthalmology. We see a wide variety of pathology and no two days are the same!

The duties for this role are:

–  Pre assessment of patients

–  Ocular motility assessments

–  Performing diagnostic testing and imaging including:

Biometry – EyeStar and Immersion

Humphrey visual field

OCT – Nidek

Retinal photography and angiography

Corneal topography/pachymetry

Anterior segment photography

– Managing IOL calculations

About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic, approachable individual to join our team, who has excellent communication skills, strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.  You will be expected to hold a tertiary qualification in Orthoptics.  Experienced orthoptists and new graduates are welcome to apply.
