Experienced orthoptist

We are looking for an orthoptist to work Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Assistant to the doctor treating a variety of patients’ needs including cataracts, medical retina, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and general ophthalmology.  We are offering the opportunity to upskill with the latest diagnostic equipment and procedures.  Parking available.

Roles and responsibilities would include;

History taking and visual acuity, ocular motility, OCT, visual fields, IOL master, A-scan and fundus photography.
Assist the ophthalmologist in all aspects of patient care to facilitate effective patient management.
Assist the Ophthalmologist with minor procedures and intravitreal injections.
Criteria:

Previous experience in an ophthalmic practice.
Possess the ability to work in a busy environment and be part of a small, friendly and dynamic team.
Have excellent communications skills and be willing to learn new techniques.
Have a positive and proactive attitude
The ability to work collaboratively and independently.
