Orthoptist

We are looking for an Orthoptist at our busy practice on the Northern Beaches of Sydney in Brookvale. We are looking for the right candidate that is willing to assist with babies and children.

As you will be the first point of clinical contact for our patients you will possess a professional and caring attitude.

Your daily tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Clinical assessment of patients prior to them seeing the ophthalmologist. This includes taking patient medical and ocular history.
• Perform diagnostic testing including A-scans, Visual fields, OCT’s.
• Assist with minor procedures and intravitreal injections.
• Manage surgical lists.
• Stocking of rooms and sterilisation.
• Assist with administration duties as required.

Skills/Experience required:

• Have a friendly professional manner.
• Able to work proactively with all team members.
• Have excellent time management, priority management and problem solving skills.
• Have the ability to learn quickly and be adaptable.
• Excellent listening skills.
• Be able to multitask.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills in orthoptics and ophthalmic assessment.
