We’re looking for an Allied Health Assistant to join our team in Mackay, North Queensland in this role you will assist patients, schedule appointments, respond to enquiries and perform basic clinical tasks.

 

About you

In this role you will:

Assess the Patient’s ophthalmic and medical history
Obtain clear, accurate biometry results, check IOL calculations and ensure doctor’s requests have been filled
Perform a clinical assessment of patients and perform investigations such as visual field testing, OCT and angiography
Develop a culture of patient care and compassion in daily activities
Closely follow doctor protocol guidelines and produce accurate reporting of tests
Perform general practice administrative tasks, as directed by the Team Leader or Practice Manager.

Analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional time and priority management skills
Effective interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to develop strong relationships with the team and doctors at all levels within the organisation including external stakeholders
