Orthoptist – Permanent Part Time

Sutherland Eye Surgeons is a multidisciplinary clinic with 3 ophthalmologists and, supportive orthoptic and administrative teams who work together to provide the best care for our patients. We are seeking an orthoptist on a permanent part time basis 2 days per week with a view to extra hours with covering sick leave and annual leave as well as possible additional hours with role expansion. Our range of subspecialties includes, oculoplastic, vitreoretinal, medical retina, cataract and glaucoma.

The position would involve: –

– Orthoptic assessments

– Assisting with minor procedures

– Subjective refraction

– Operation of testing equipment; HVF, Pentacam, OCT, IOL Master, Optos
