| Job Description | Professional 3 (Remuneration Package $127,522 – $142,618) One vacancy is available, either ongoing or fixed for 2 years. Central Australia ophthalmology service is looking for a highly skilled and dedicated orthoptist or clinical nurse specialist to provide clinical leadership, expertise, education, training, clinical systems advice and support across the region. Ensure delivery of high quality, culturally appropriate and effective Orthoptic and Ophthalmic care for both adult and paediatric clients in conjunction with the at Alice Springs Hospital and throughout the Central Hospital Network services whilst providing clinical leadership and supervision to orthoptist and ophthalmic nurses within NT Health. The ophthalmology clinic is part Outpatients department at Alice Springs Hospital. The unit has one full-time consultant ophthalmologist, one senior hospital medical officer, ophthalmology fellow and ophthalmology registrar. The team currently consists of three ophthalmic nurses, one orthoptist and a nurse practitioner/nurse manager. Located in Alice Springs (Mparntwe) you are at the doorstep to the outback.
