Sydney Eye Surgeons is a large multi-disciplinary state of art ophthalmic group. We have practices based in Bondi Junction, Hurstville and Miranda.

We are currently expanding our team and are looking for 2 Full time orthoptist or experienced Allied Health Assistant to join our team.

The successful applicant must possess outstanding customer service skills and be a reliable and a highly organised individual who is able to work efficiently on their own and within a team environment.

Reporting to the Head Orthoptist, we are looking for someone to join our highly efficient team, making our patients feel comfortable while delivering the highest level of care and supporting the doctors to deliver outstanding and exceptional service.

About the role

Work alongside an established orthoptic and admin team, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

General, and specialised patient work ups
General ophthalmological diagnostic testing
Pre and Post-operative patient care
All facets of patient triage
Assisting with in rooms minor surgical operations
Assistance with surgical lens size calculations and selection
Liaising with admin staff to book appointments and surgical procedures
Managing and maintaining patient records

Who we are looking for:

Someone with a passion for working with people, especially the elderly.
You are an ambitious, solutions focused and an energetic team member
Strong attention to detail with clear and effective communication skills
Self-motivated, positive and demonstrate the willingness to listen and learn
Option to be based predominantly from Bondi Junction or to travel to all three practice locations – Bondi Junction, Hurstville and Miranda
Qualified Orthoptist or Allied Health Assistant– experience preferred

Salary is commensurate with experience.
