Sutherland Eye Surgeons is currently seeking an Orthoptist/Ophthalmic Assistant to join our Practice.

We are a multidisciplinary practice in the South of Sydney with subspecialties in oculoplastics, medical and surgical retina, glaucoma, cataract and general ophthalmology.

The role would be permanent part time 5 days per fortnight (2 days one week and 3 days the following week). New graduates are welcome to apply.

About You:

Orthoptists; Hold a Bachelor or Health Science degree/ relevant orthoptic qualification

Passionate about patient care

Enthusiastic and motivated

Demonstrates initiative and exceptional interpersonal skills

Excellent communication skills; written and verbal

Enjoy working autonomously and within a team

Ability to multitask

Punctual, reliable, flexible

Computer literate

Possess clinical expertise with attention to detail

The Role:

Patient history

Orthoptic work up

VA + IOP

HVF

Optos

OCT

Pentacam

Biometry

Assist during minor procedures

Instrument sterilisation

Assist Administration as required
