Southern Eye Centre Day Surgery has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and professional Orthoptist to join our growing team in Frankston.

We are a busy, well-established ophthalmic practice supporting both the consulting and surgical needs of nine Ophthalmologists, with subspecialties across general ophthalmology, refractive, glaucoma, retinal, corneal and oculoplastic surgery.

You’ll be part of a friendly, close-knit team of Orthoptists, Nurses and Administrative staff, providing high-quality patient care in a modern consulting clinic and accredited day surgery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
• Operate a wide range of diagnostic and imaging equipment, including:
o Sirius+ corneal topographer
o Zeiss IOL Master 700
o iTrace aberrometer
o Heidelberg Spectralis OCT
o Zeiss Visucam 500 (fundus photography & angiography)
o Zeiss Humphrey Visual Field and Goldmann tonometry
• Assist with and prepare for minor ophthalmic procedures
• Perform IOL calculations and orthoptic administration

About You
• Degree in Orthoptics (new graduates are encouraged to apply!)
• Professional indemnity insurance and current influenza vaccination required
• Experience with ophthalmic diagnostic equipment desirable – training and support provided
