Orthoptist

Casey Eye Centre is a well-established and growing ophthalmic practice located in Narre Warren. We are dedicated to providing exceptional eye care in a friendly, professional, and patient-focused environment.

This is a permanent part-time/full-time Orthoptic position, offering a minimum of 48-76 hours per fortnight with regular all-day sessions on Monday-Friday.

As a key member of our team, you will play an important role in supporting our ophthalmologists and orthoptists in delivering outstanding patient care. Working within a small practice means you’ll enjoy variety in your day and have the opportunity to be involved in both clinical and administrative aspects of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient assessment and Orthoptic workup

• Diagnostic Testing (OCT – Heidelberg, Biometry – Lenstar, Topography – Pentacam, Humphrey Visual Field, Optos)

• Surgical booking and list management

• Assistance in maintaining stock levels, management of Anti-VEGF patients and scripts

• Supporting the team with administrative and reception duties

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Orthoptics (or equivalent)

• Current registration with the Australian Orthoptic Board (AOB)

• Experience is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply – full training will be provided.
